On Friday 8th January, a retirement party was held for the Manager, Marilyn Luck, who was leaving after nearly 20 years of service at Rosset Holt. This date was also Marilyn’s birthday, and she was given a warm send-off and received many thanks and congratulations from residents, relatives of residents, staff, former staff, the support group and other visitors. Three Deputy Managers were present – the current Deputy, Annabelle Purdie, and Marilyn’s 2 previous colleagues Lydia and Diane.

In his speech, Operations Manager Brian James thanked Marilyn for her commitment to developing and encouraging a culture of caring within a Christian ethos. He quoted from CQC’s comments following their unannounced inspection earlier in the week: “values of the service are clear” – a credit to Marilyn and her team.

Marilyn said that she had been “thoroughly spoilt” and that the response had been “phenomenal”. Our best wishes go with her and her husband Alan for a long and happy retirement.

Having served as Deputy Manager, Annabelle Purdie now goes on to be the new Manager at Rosset Holt.
