Rosemary Mount News – Farewell to Margaret, and Other News

volunteer-margaretLast month we said a fond farewell to Margaret, our faithful volunteer of 13 years. Our initial association with Margaret was when she knocked on the door of Rosemary Mount and asked for respite care for her Mum whilst she took a well-deserved holiday. Her Mum then decided she needed to come back permanently, and Margaret and friends from Worthing Rotary Club devised a rota system to come in and sell all kinds of goods from a sweet trolley.

Even after losing her Mum, Margaret continued to volunteer at Rosemary Mount and became a friend to many.

On her last day we invited her for Afternoon Tea with the staff and residents and presented her with gifts as a way of thanks for all she did for us. Margaret and her husband have retired to Tewksbury to be near to their daughter, and we send them very best wishes for the future.
