Romans News – September was a Great Month!

On Tuesday 18th September Oomph! took 3 of our residents out to the Ropetackle Café. The residents also went on a short ride, as the weather did not perform nicely enough to have a walk.

On Wednesday 19th September Lynda Lyne played the jazz piano and clarinet in the sun lounge at Romans. She made sure that everyone joined in the singing.  Every single resident thoroughly enjoyed the morning and praised the entertainer, saying what a fantastic event it had been.

On Friday 28th September Romans took part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning and raised a whopping £136.90.

We had fantastic support from staff who not only made sure that all of the residents were ready to participate in the event, but many also made or bought in cakes to sell.

There were games to play as well – pin the cherry on the cake picture, which was a fun game, plus guessing the length of a picture of a sausage roll.  Our resident Olive won a miniature teapot in the shape of a house with teabags, and a new member of staff Jamie won guess the sausage roll length.
