To do this, our ‘vibrant communities’ programme has been developed at Keychange Charity in partnership with Ladder to the Moon to enable active, creative and vibrant care services to be delivered in joint activity between staff and residents.

Senior Care Assistants
with a Level 3 NVQ /QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care

The first priority for the Senior Care Assistant is to work as part of the care team, to provide care and support that meets residents’ needs and Keychange Charity’s expectations, including supporting the Christian ethos of the home. Working under the direction of the deputy manager, the Senior Care Assistant will act as a key worker for allocated residents and ensure, through working alongside their colleagues in the care team, a consistent approach to delivering care services across the home, using a collaborative, coaching, supportive leadership style and enabling staff improvement and development through effective supervision, to ensure the outcomes set out in the ‘Quality of Life – Outcome-based framework’ are achieved.

As Senior Care Assistant you will help ensure that the service is delivered in a way that is:-

3. Caring
4. Responsive and
5. Well led

As a Senior Care Assistant you will consistently put into practice your Level 3 knowledge and skills to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for older people.

Care Assistant
Pay rate for role C – £6.80 to £7.38/hour. Required: Health and Social Care Level 2 Qualification while working and 1 year or more work experience

If you want to work in a friendly, homely environment, caring for up to 22 residents, Fair Havens could be the place for you.

You will work as part of the care team, treating residents with dignity and respect, supporting them to be as independent as possible, providing them with support to eat and drink, supporting them to maintain their personal cleanliness and comfort, supporting them to maintain their personal safety, enabling them to take part in meaningful activities and helping them to feel valued and involved in the community within the care home.

You will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development and have opportunities to put into practice your ever-increasing knowledge and skills.

You must demonstrate compassion and empathy towards the older people living in our home as well as a commitment to working that ensures you fulfil your allocated shifts and agreed contract hours.

You will share memories, have moments of sadness and many opportunities for fun, laughter and joy.

Care Assistant

Kitchen Assistant

Salary: £7.96 per hour Hours: Part time

Catering for 22 residents, you must be able to work alone and cook for a wide range and variety of dietary needs. Duties involve food preparation, cleaning and washing up.

Part Time Hours: 13.30 – 18.30 Thurs – Sat.

Housekeeper / Cleaner

Salary: £6.60 per hour Hours: Part time

Housekeeper required 4 days per week, 8.30 am – 2.30 pm

The job of housekeeper/domestic will involve working in a team, to make sure that good hygiene levels are maintained throughout the home. We would like to hear from individuals who have an eye for detail and understand the importance of good hygiene in a care home for older people. We pride ourselves on the home smelling clean and fresh and looking clean and tidy. The housekeeping work will include cleaning resident’s rooms, bathrooms and shared areas as well as bed making, laundry and kitchen duties, dealing with waste and any other housekeeping duties that may arise. The contract is for 24 hours per week over 4 days to include alternate weekends. There will also be an opportunity to work extra hours to cover holidays and sickness.
