The Mount News – A Harry Potter Birthday Cake!

It was our newest resident’s birthday. Pamela Burgess had revealed that she is mad on Harry Potter and so we made her a Harry Potter themed birthday cake. It truly was a team effort – catering staff Margaret and Mark baked and iced the cake and Manager, Nikki Ford decorated it with Harry Potter memorabilia.

The Mount News – Summer Treat!

We have a local ice cream van that comes and visits each week. This is organised by our cook, Mark, and the residents are very much enjoying their choice of refreshments and being able to sit outside as the ice cream man drives around and parks in the rear garden and turns his music on.

The Mount News – Sing Along

We recently welcomed “Ladder to the Moon” to The Mount and they involved everyone in a Sing Along day, which was very much enjoyed by all.      

The Mount News – National Marine Aquarium

A group of 8 residents and staff recently went on an outing to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth. We all enjoyed the day out, especially admiring all the exotic fish and other sea creatures.

The Mount News – Dementia Quality Mark Accreditation

Over several months Scott Angell (Deputy Manager) has been working with a social worker from the quality assurance team at Plymouth social services.
