Alexander House News – ARCH Project

The ARCH Project has set up a link with a lady who brings along a Memory Box containing objects such as a picture of Art or an item of clothing, etc. for residents to look at, handle and discuss. This has proved to be very popular and well attended.

The ARCH Project stands for Activities for Residents in Care Homes.  It is a partnership between St. George’s Hospital in Tooting and Kingston University. For over a year now they have been putting in place activities and training staff to support activities at Alexander House.  The ARCH Project has been a wonderful support and help to us – the residents have benefitted so much from the various activities that have come into the home through them.  The photographs show 2 of their latest activities.

The ARCH Project arranged for a taster session of creative dance and music from a lady called Charlene Low.
